The drive to Laguna Beach Resort is via a long, winding road across
low-lying grassland. Walk through the antique-decorated lobby and
descend the stairs to find The Grange Grill. Director of Food and
Beverage, Mr. Philippe Hauser, a Swiss native, has developed a concept
for a very integrated dining experience.
Director of Kitchen, Mr. Rainer Roersch, who trained in Europe
but has worked all over the world, has helped to create a menu which
is exciting, different and able to cater for all tastes and appetites.
The chef in charge is Philipe Mibimi who hails from the States.
The philosophy behind the restaurant is to create something informal,
which diners can relate to. A simple starter of Rock Lobster and
Avocado can be complimented by Prawns and Spinach: beautifully prepared
and not too filling
Rainer begins his day's work well before 8am to ensure the smooth
running of the kitchen and the preparation of the freshest foods.
Every day, The Grange bakes its own bread, so you can rest assured
that the bread and rolls on offer are of the utmost freshness.
The restaurant is resplendent with Kamonwan ceramics (the Royal
Porcelain of Thailand) and other objects d'art.
Recommended is the Goat's Cheese Salad and the Sea Bass with Chutney
. . . the concept here is that you order perhaps one or two main
dishes and work your way through some of the delicious side dishes.
They aim to create an atmosphere in which you may chat, relax and
eat a smaller main course than may be usual, but engage yourselves
with the wide range of smaller dishes on offer. Of course, a huge
variety of steak, seafood and other main dishes are available.
The Grange Grill is situated in the Laguna
Beach Resort, Bangtao Bay, Phuket.
