09:00
Start the day with breakfast at the Phuket Yacht Haven. Admire the
boats and dream about settling down in one of the condos.
10:00
Take the beautiful drive to the Gibbon
Rehabilitation Project where Dillon Morin, an American zoologist
and documentary filmmaker, established a sanctuary for the endangered
Gibbon. See how orphaned Gibbons are reintroduced to their natural
habitat so they no longer have to live on a chain in front of someone's
business. If you are up for it, take a hike through the jungle to
one of the waterfalls.
11:00
Stop at the Thalang Museum near the Heroines Monument on Thepkasatri
Road. The display on tin mining will help you understand where Phuket
got its money before the tourists arrived.
12:00
Head for Laguna Phuket where an abandoned tin mine has been transformed
into a beautiful setting for five large resort hotels.
Stop at the Canal Village
for a little shopping. Jim Thompson's is a good place to buy the
Thai silk you have been dreaming about. Have some grilled shrimp
and a salad at the Albatross Café and Pub. If you have a chance
admire the hotels from the boat that serves as a taxi between the
hotels and Canal Village.
13:00
Continue toward Kamala Beach, stopping at Laem
Singh. Park and walk down to the beautiful beach. Swim in the
crystal clear water; sunbathe on a lounge chair with a cold beer
at your side. This is what life is all about.
15:00
Stop and walk around Kamala Village before continuing down the coast
to the Thavorn Beach Village. Visit the Nakalay
Spa and have Khun Nikorn, the spa's manager, explain about the
12 different massages. Try one of the massages if you have time

Nakalay Spa!
18:00
Head for Patong Beach. Stop at the Baan Rim Pa and enjoy the tropical
atmosphere while sipping a cocktail as Tommy Doyle plays the piano.
Owner Tom McNamara's restaurant and bar has one of Phuket's most
famous views. Stay on for a delicious Thai meal, but be sure you
have a reservation.
21:00
Take the stairs connecting the Baan Rim Pa to the Otowa, the Japanese
restaurant next door. Listen to the Raw Jazz while snacking on Japanese
tidbits. Read More Here about
Otowa!
Later, if you have the energy, move across the street to the Hourglass
at the Novotel. More good music, fantastic vistas and memorable
ambiance
