Chairat Sukbal can be called Patong's Mr. Entertainment. The handsome
and engaging entrepreneur has operated Pow Wow Pub, with an American
country western theme and Titanic discotheque. His plans for entertaining
visitors to Phuket
keep getting bigger and better. "I planned Safari Club and
Disco for four years before we opened. I wanted a location near
to Patong
Beach but in the jungle; a place where we could expand, make
a lot of excitement," commented Chairat.
And a lot of excitement a trip to Safari can become. Set between
several elephant camps and close to Le
Meridien Phuket, the parking lot is jammed with cars, trucks
and motorbikes each night with a young party crowd who want to dance
and sing to the rockin' Eurasia Band which entertains until the
early morning hours.
Safari Club is exciting from every angle. It was designed to look
like something primitive from pre-historic times. Chairat has a
large sculpture of a Sakai man, forest dwellers who still live in
the southern jungles, lying with his spear above the entrance. Once
inside, the party animal will find rooms that twist and turn around
bars, staircases and eventually open onto his outdoor Treetops restaurant
which overlooks what could be a gladiator pit but is actually a
water park where party animals can drink and swim.
Safari really has everything for fun. There's enormous video screens
playing the latest sports, waterfalls, 15 bungalows for those wanting
to take a break from the party and a soon to open disco which will
add to the live rock and roll which blasts out all the windows.
"I've also decided to open a massage studio with sauna and
steam room in November. I want Safari to be a place for everyone
to have a great time," stated Chairat.
Safari Club is a place to expect the unexpected. Where you might
meet someone who may change your life. For someone on holiday wanting
a nighttime adventure, Safari Club is THE place.
