Every night the Tuk Tuk Tavern at Le
Meridien Phuket heats up with an exciting show designed by Charles
Brown and his professional dance company. Mr. Brown choreographs
and designs seven different shows which rotate in addition to the
nightly entertainment on stage in the Pakarang restaurant.
On Thursday evening, down in the Tuk Tuk Tavern, the performance
is called Lace and Stockings, a revue that sizzles and sparkles
and keeps the audience clapping for more.
Part of the excitement of a Charles Brown production is the unexpected
keeps popping up on stage. For example, in this forty minute review
there's a popular Michael Jackson number, dance in Egyptian themed
costumes followed by some saucy exciting dance moves like in some
MTV video.
Just then, these vivacious dancers move into ballet where their
training and discipline really come across before three beautiful
women dressed as a nurse, a maid and a secretary move across the
stage before their uniforms fall off revealing dazzling beauties.
There's almost no time to enjoy a slow drink or pay attention to
the great care that's gone into creating the Tuk Tuk Tavern. On
the walls are stencilled some of the great buildings of the world
including the world's tallest and the Eiffel Tower to name a couple.
And there's actually some of Thailand's
popular tuk tuk caravans built into the club giving the space a
feeling of having a good time right in the street.
This is a show you have to see to believe. The question the audience
is left with is
with a show this good, why are these talented
singers and dancers on the mainstage for everyone to enjoy?
