STAR AID is one of Phuket's
major fundraising charities for children with HIV and AIDS.
Sponsored by the Sheraton
Grande Laguna Phuket, STAR AID raised almost one million baht
(US$25,000) in 1999.
Proceeds were given to the Phuket AIDS Foundation to provide basic
medical care for children with this disease.
STAR AID will be held at the Sheraton Grande Laguna Phuket on 3
June at 7pm. Included in the ticket donation is a dinner service
of world class cuisine, entertainment and raffle prizes for holidays
to exotic Sheraton resorts around the world as well as prizes for
local tours and attractions.
There's a silent auction where competitive bidding for flights
and hotel packages go to the highest bidder. It will be a great
night of fun for a worthy cause.
