LAEM SON VILLAS
Luxury Phuket Property Rentals
On an island renowned for it's multitude of luxurious, high-end
properties, it is a joy to come across a villa that truly stands
out amongst the crowd - with first rate architectural design and
spectacular views from every angle, Laem Son Villa situated on Phuket's
West Coast is a prime example of a new generation of luxury living.
Now available to rent, this luxury villa can comfortably accommodate
up to four families, all with children.
World-renowned architect Jean-Michel Gathy, founder of Denniston
International and designer of what is arguably the island's most
exclusive hotel, the Amanpuri, was the brains behind the Laem Son
luxury villa concept. Combining the best elements of the East and
West, Gathy fused together a villa that is not only pleasing to
the eye with its traditional Thai style architecture, but also exceptionally
comfortable with its expansive and luxurious living and outdoor
areas.

Located just outside of the peaceful Kamala province, the quiet
villas are a world away from the more famous beach stretch of Patong.
If shopping and nightlife are what you desire however, this bustling
neighbourhood is just 10 minutes away. Phuket town and the Laguna
complex are also within easy driving distance and Phuket International
Airport is only a half hour journey.
The exterior of the property screams richness and indulgence, with
it's towering walls and lotus flowers floating delicately within
elegant tropical fish ponds. Part of a seven villa private estate;
this quiet compound is situated atop a hilltop rock face. The main
living areas, along with the ocean facing swimming pool look out
towards the setting sun of the West, while the entertainment area,
family and childrens' rooms face East towards the sandy beaches
of Kamala and Surin. Also sharing this Easterly facing beach view
is an open dining sala containing a Chinese lazy Susan; perfect
for any dining occasion, whether it be an intimate dinner, family
meal or social gathering.
Encompassing the very essence of tropical living; this villa for
rent boasts an exceptional 42.6 metre long infinity edge swimming
pool with close to an unobstructed 180 degree view of the ocean
beyond. This stunning pool has over 60 metres of ocean frontage,
something relatively rare among the properties on the island and
even more uniquely, is privileged to have the evening sun set directly
in front of the house. The inviting lap pool is tiled in light blue
to reflect the daytime sun from its shimmering tiles, while allowing
the moonlight to illuminate it after dark - unlike the black tiles
favoured by many other developers.

At night, the villa takes on an entirely different persona, with
subtly positioned spotlights working in harmony with natural moonlight
to create a magical fairy-tale ambience. All around the villa, lights
cast hauntingly beautiful shadows from the dark teak wood and exterior
granite walls. A sight that, when coupled with the sounds of the
peacefully lapping ocean waves, is truly breathtaking.
Between the dramatic swimming pool and the property is an enormous,
multi-level outside patio area. Sun decks and day beds are positioned
artistically around various areas of this area and swaying palm
trees stand symmetrically on every few steps between the pool and
the property, where there are more raised open salas for relaxing,
dining or entertaining.
The front interior of the property is comprised of a central living
area of 150 square metres and houses a trio of rooms, all traditionally
Thai in concept with heavy teak floors and walls. In the centre
is a dining sala with a long, elegant table to seat up to 12. On
either side of the dining area are living rooms, one formal and
one more casual. Both are decorated in earthy tones, with shades
of cream, beige, black and brown working together to create a series
of colours that naturally compliment each other. Full size antiques
and genuine Asian artefacts stand proudly in each of these rooms.
The villa's four, 72 sq. ft. double bedrooms are incredibly spacious
and are all ensuite. Displaying some of the best craftsmanship in
Thailand, they are impeccably designed. Air conditioning is internally
concealed in pitched, open style roofs, which are modern in configuration
and house hidden lights within their beams. High quality tapered
doors are framed with a sturdy 8 inches of thick wood.
The ensuite bathrooms have both his and hers vanity areas, each
with their own large, built in wooden wardrobe and handmade terrazzo
sink bowl, in addition to an impressive terrazzo bathtub and power
shower with tropical outlooks.
Separate to the master suites is a children's area with eight single
beds, two bathrooms and generous spaced built in wardrobes for the
storage of clothes or toys. Adjacent to this is a nanny's room with
two single beds allowing close access to the children. These rooms
share direct access to an outside garden play area separated from
the rest of the house to allow both adults and children to relax
and enjoy their own space.
For the enjoyment of both children and adults alike, there is an
informal dining and entertainment area with a 34" satellite
television, DVD and CD players and a games console, as
well as a fax and computer with Internet access. The kitchen is
spacious and modern in design and is supplied with all the latest
equipment. There are two, four-door double fridges both with water
maker, as well as large ovens and a dishwasher.
Rental of this luxurious villa also comes with airport transfers,
a drier and the use of two new cars; a Toyota Hilux and a Toyota
Fortuner.
It should be noted that smoking is not allowed inside the living
areas and the owner kindly requests that pets are not brought into
the property.
Rental prices begin at USD 2000 a day during the low season, rising
at peak times.
